Office of
chief secretary, UP, has directed government departments to respond to an RTI
query on money splurged on Mulayam Singh Yadav's birthday bash.
On November
22, RTI activist Sanjay Sharma had sought information from the chief
secretary's office on the total money spent from the state exchequer in
organizing 75th birthday of MSY in Rampur, administrative procedures followed
for birthday celebrations and clarification on senior cabinet minister Azam
Khan's comment on money to have come from Taliban and Dawood.
Chief
secretary's office has directed department of information, civil aviation and
home to provide info.
