The
Foundation Day of the Right to Information Act - 2005 will be observed in
Jodhpur on Wednesday to recognise the endeavours of those activists who
leveraged this Act to unearth corruptions prevailing in the system.
Selected RTI
activists, on this occasion, will be bestowed with the "Soochna Sipahi
Samman" to recognise their efforts and motivate common people about the
strength of this act in order to combat corruption in the system.
According to
a senior RTI activists Nand Lal Vyas, a large number of RTI activists will
assemble in this function and will deliberate on the problems faced by them as
well as on the activities to spread awareness about this act among the common
people.
He said that
an action plan for this purpose will also be given final shape in this program
wherein, the RTI coordinators will be roped in all the tahsils of all the
districts of Marwar region, who will bring the people on common platform for
the dissemination of Right to Information Act and its provisions.
