Mumbai man files RTI to find out if our government can handle a zombie attack

The American: New Delhi: Wednesday, September 21, 2016.
The Indian government has received a number of ridiculous and senseless queries filed under the Right to Information (RTI) Act since the law came into existence in 2005.
Many of such queries have made headlines because of their funny nature. One of such RTI requests filed by a Mumbai man under the RTI took social media by storm on Tuesday due to the weird questions he asked.
Ajay Kumar, from Mumbai, was deeply concerned about the ability of the government to handle an invasion by aliens, zombies, and extra-dimensional beings’. So he filed an RTI with the Ministry of Home Affairs raising his questions in the issue.
The following were the questions for which Kumar sought an answer from the ministry.
What plans are in place for protecting the public in the event of an invasion by aliens or zombies or extra dimensional beings?
What are our chances against them?
What means does the government have at its disposal to defeat them?
And the best question was the last one.
Referring to the 1996 sci-fi movie Independence Day, Kumar asked, Can we do it without Will Smith?
Though the query was filed in March, it went viral after journalist Abhimanyu Ghoshal posted the same on Twitter.
However, it is not sure whether the ministry had replied to the queries of the citizen who is concerned about the security of the nation. Earlier the government had received many RTI files asking bizarre questions like, what was Mahatma Gandhi’s IQ, if Prime Minister Narendra Modi had acted in Ramlila, and how many trees are green in the country.
