Training on RTI at Longleng.

Nagaland Post: Dimapur: Thursday, August 18, 2016. 
Training on RTI ACT 2005 for Public Information Officers and Assistant Public Information Officers of government offices, NGOs and Educational Institutions was held at DC’s office, Longleng on August 11 and 12. 
According to DIPR report, the inaugural programme was graced by deputy commissioner, Longleng, Y.Denngan Avennoho Phom NCS as the chief guest who stated that information has become an important tool in governance, and therefore, every officer had to be well equipped with the RTI Act. 
DC also said that RTI has become an inevitable tool for good governance, transparency and accountability in all government setup. 
He urged the trainers to not only get trained but should be able to deliver information as and when required.
The program was co-ordinated by Japheth Woch, sub-divisional officer (Civil) HQ and the master trainers were Lanunochet Pongen, asst professor Yingli College, Thsingvi Tsangtam, asst professor, Yingli College and Konchem, asst professor Yingli College.
