Rasikh
Rasool, a Kupwara based RTI activist, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, here at
the Raj Bhavan today.
Rasool
apprised the Governor about his concerns relating to encouragement of corrupt
practices in the governance system due to the frequent pre mature transfers of Govt.
employees; delay in nominating Chairperson and Members for the State Human
Rights Commission; early enactment of laws to establish the J&K Commission
for Protection of Child Rights and enforce Police Reforms and Whistleblower
Protection law; boosting rural tourism in Kupwara district and introduction of
chapters on accountability and transparency in the school education syllabus.
Governor
urged Rasool to continue his initiatives to fight for the lawful rights and
privileges of the masses.
