Seven Rajya Sabha MPs have not so far submitted declarations of their assets and liabilities although the last date for furnishing this information has expired, the Rajya Sabha secretariat here said.
'Communications have been issued to those members to immediately comply with the requirement of the statutory provisions in this regard', said the Rajya Sabha secretariat in response to a Right to Information (RTI) application filed by an activist Subhash Chandra Agarwal.
The MPs who have not submitted their declarations of assets and liabilities are P. Kannan, Anil Kumar Sahani, Silvius Condpan, Bimla Kashyap Sood, Jharna Das Baidya, Naresh Gujral and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa.
The Rajya Sabha secretariat said no complaint has been received against the errant MPs so far.
The secretariat also clarified that the vice president of India, who is the ex-officio chairman of the Rajya Sabha, is not liable to furnish declaration of assets and liabilities as he is not an elected member of the house.
