The activist has been
pursuing a case of a driver with the Health and Family Welfare department in
Mysuru, who had allegedly submitted a fake SSLC markscard to join the
government service as a Second Division Assistant (SDA).
A Mysuru-based Right to Information (RTI) activist has complained to Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, and Karnataka State Chief Information Commissioner Ashit Mohan Prasad, asking them to dismiss State Chief Information Commissioner of Bench 5, S Rajashekar, alleging that the latter lied when he said that he had given pronouncement of judgement on May 15, 2025, in a case that he has been pursuing since June 13, 2024.
Stating that he has received a copy of the judgement on June 3, 2025, R N Sathyanarayana, a retired lecturer, has said in the complaint that he has been pursuing a case of a driver with the Health and Family Welfare department in Mysuru, who had allegedly submitted a fake SSLC markscard to join the government service as a Second Division Assistant (SDA), and had allegedly got a reimbursement of Rs 24.55 lakh by submitting fake medical bills.
Sathyanarayana has stated in the complaint that he had started seeking information on the action taken against the case worker and the officials concerned, and also the SDA for cheating the government by claiming reimbursement of medical bills worth Rs 24.55 lakh. The petitioner had to go for three appeals and when he did not get the proper information, he had appealed before the State Information Commission and the hearing was held before the Bench 5.
