Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority hosts Right to Information Training

A training workshop titled 'Right to Information Act, Regulations and Self-Initiated Disclosure of Information' was held today, 27 February 2025, at the initiative of the Public Relations Department of Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA).
The training was attended by the Chairman of BCAA, Air Vice Marshal Md. Monjur Kabir Bhuiyan, OSP, BUP, ndc, nswc, afwc, psc, as the chief guest. Officers and employees of various departments and branches of BCAA participated in the training.
The chief guest said in his speech, "Right to Information is the legal right of the people to know information about the government and other institutions. It is an important means of ensuring democracy, transparency, and accountability. By ensuring the right to information, the general public can learn about government activities, participate in decision-making, and play a role in establishing good governance."
He further said, "The Free flow of information increases the administration's accountability, helps establish good governance, and effectively prevents corruption. I am hopeful that through this training, we will learn about various aspects of the Right to Information Act, its implementation process, and various aspects of spontaneous information disclosure."
He also said that people from different walks of life regularly request information from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh through the forms prescribed by the government, and the agency provides that information by the appropriate laws.
The training workshop discussed the Right to Information Act and its implementation strategies. The participants are expected to be able to apply the knowledge gained through this training in their official activities to ensure transparency and accountability.
