Prajaswamya Parirakshana Ikya Vedika State President M. Ramakrishna Reddy and core committee coordinators Putta Surendra Babu and Vennapusa Brahma Reddy urged the government to ensure effective implementation of the Right to Information (RTI) Act as many officials of various departments were unable to understand the importance of Act, which was enacted two decades ago. The association organised a State-level meeting in Srikakulam on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said that the association was striving hard to create awareness among the people about the Act, by organising village and ward-level meetings in all districts with the support of members of the respective districts. The association’s State general secretary Kowtavarapu Prasad, State treasurer J. Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
