The Ministry of Information has implored India to share its expertise on the implementation of the Right to Information with the Access to Information Division of the Information Services Department to upsurge their knowledge on implementing the law.
The Minister for Information, Madam Fatimatu Abubakar, sought the support when the India High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Manish Gupta, paid a courtesy call on her as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the diplomatic relationship between the two countries.
The minister commended India's implementation of the Right to Information Law and the adherence to norms that ensure transparency and accountability. On his part, His Excellency Manish Gupta expressed India’s willingness to share expertise and assist the Ministry with its request.
The other areas of potential collaboration between the two countries include partnerships between the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and the Indian National Television to share experiences and promote cultural understanding.
