Information Commission Bangladesh (ICB) has ordered to take departmental action against the director of Rangpur Medical College as he did not provide information requested by the petitioner though it was valid.
At the same time, the commission also directed to inform the matter to Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and Secretary of Health Services Division.
The commission, in another complaint, has warned the director of Rangpur Divisional Family Planning Office for deliberately disrupting the process to provide the required information sought by the applicant.
It also directed to inform the matter to Director General of Directorate General of Family Planning and Secretary of Medical Education and Family Welfare Division.
The commission has also warned the General Manager of Chattogram Meghna Petroleum Limited as the official did not provide the information sought by the applicant.
On Monday, (January 22) Chief Information Commissioner Dr Abdul Malek along with Information Commissioners Shahidul Alam Jhinuk and Masuda Bhatti issued the order after a hearing which was held in line with the Right to Information (RTI) Act, a press release said.
Meanwhile, on Monday a total of 10 complaints were placed to the ICB for hearing and all were disposed of.
