HC defers hearing on plea seeking copies of judge exam

Times of India: Bhopal: Monday, 11 July 2022.
A division bench of MP high court deferred hearing on a petition seeking that copies of the written exam for appointment of civil judge class II and additional district & sessions judge be made public under Right to Information (RTI) Act rather than allowing only the candidate concerned an access to his copies. The case will now come up for hearing after two weeks.
The petition filed by Advocates' Union for Democracy & Social Justice said that the copies of candidates appearing for the main exam of civil class II should be made public under RTI to make the exam process more fair and transparent. The petitioner further argued that on many reserved posts in the civil judge class II exam, selection of candidates from reserved sections has not taken place, thereby creating doubt over the selection process.
The petitioner also raised a question mark over necessity to score 20 marks out of 50 in the interview of the exam. Advocates Rameshwar P Singh and Vinayak Shah appeared in the case on behalf of the petitioner.
