The
Himachal Information Commission has not taken motion even after the delay in
reporting RTI associated to medical doctors attributable to corona. It was
argued within the Commission that busy with prevention of an infection delayed
the reporting. In such a scenario, the Commission disposed of the enchantment
of Brij Kumar, a resident of Solan, with out motion.
In an
enchantment filed with the Chief Information Commissioner, the appellant said
that there was a deliberate delay in getting the data sought by the Health
Department. In such a case, motion must be taken towards the Public Information
Officers of the division beneath the Act. This info was sought from January 1,
2020 to January 31, 2020, associated to the date of interview for appointment
of medical doctors, date of appointment and many others.
The
Public Information Officer forwarded it to the State Secretariat. The applicant
said that there was a deliberate delay in giving info. Public Information
Officer stated that 84 pages of data have been given to the applicant. There
