Lieutanant
General led administration on Tuesday designated eleven Public Information
Officers and twenty-three Assistant Public Information Officers under Right to
Information Act (2005) for several medical colleges across Jammu and Kashmir.
An order
in this regard, of which a copy lies with GNS, authenticated by Atal Dullo,
Financial Commissioner Health and Medical Education Department reads that “In
terms of Section 5(1) of Right to Information Act, 2005, sanction is hereby
accorded to the designation of (following officers/officials) of Associated
Hospitals of Government Medical College Jammu, Government Medical College
Anantnag, Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, Directorate of Indian System
of Medicines as PIOs and APIOs (sic.).”
Medical
Superintendent(s) of Associated Hospital(s) of Government Medical College Jammu
which include SMGS, GMCH, Super Speciality, Chest Diseases, Psychratiac
Diseases, Associated Hospitals, GMC Jammu, J&K Paramedical Council, AMT
School have been designated as Public Information Officers (PIOs), the order
reads.
From
Government Medical College Anantnag, incumbent Administrative officer has been
designated as Public Information Officer even as Section Officer from the
College has got the designation of Assistant Public Information Officer, the
order reads.
From
Directorate of Health Services Kashmir, as per the order, Deputy Director
(Schemes) is designated as Public Information Officer and Nodal Officer as
Assistant Public Information Officer.
From
Directorate of Indian Systems of Medicine; Assistant Director Unani, ADMOs of
Srinagar, Baramulla, Kupwara, Jammu, Kathua, Doda, Udhumpur and Nodal Officers
of Kulgam, Anantnag, Pulwama, Shopian, Ganderbal, Budgam, Bandipora, Poonch,
Samba, Reasi, Ramban and Kishtawar have been designated as Assistant Public
Information Officers, the order reads further. (GNS)
