IMS
LAW College organised a Seminar on RTI Act 2005 at Sector 62 Noida campus.
During the Seminar, IMS launches RTI club for creating awareness of Right to
information. Archana Sinha Additional District and Sessions Judge Delhi, Former
Additional District and Sessions Judge Ghaziabad Arun Kumar and Dean of IMS Law
College were present in the seminar.
Addressing
the students, Dr. Archana Sinha said that we are happy that IMS Law College has
the courage to start RTI Club. She said that working in the form of an RTI
worker is a daunting task. This work is like a double striped sword, which can
be threatened if you are not used before carefully.
Dr.
Archana Sinha in her speech also said that, The Right to Information refers to
the right of every citizen of the state to access information under the control
of public authorities consistent with public interest. The main objective of
providing information is not only to promote openness, transparency and
accountability in administration but also to ensure participation of people in
all the matters related to Governance.
Arun
Kumar said that for the common man, this is the biggest right except for the
fundamental rights. He said that to be successful as a future advocate, four D
(discipline, devotion, determination and dedication) in our life have special
significance. Dr. KS Bhati, Dean, IMS Law College said that it is our
achievement that our students are constantly trying to do something different
from the league.
