A Right to
Information reply revealed that around 13 revenue cases files related to land
was missing after which, Koriya Collector Narendra Dugga has ordered probe and
found the case to be true. He then directed to file FIR against the then
additional collector and the clerical staff. The Charcha police station has
filed the FIR based on the complaint.
It is
reported that the then additional collector A Lakra (retired) has asked the 13
revenue cases file to be provided to him for study which has not been returned
to the record room. When Chirmiri resident Rajkumar Mishra sought details of
documents related to the file, he did not receive the information, then the
matter came to fore. After which Collector directed to file FIR against retired
Additional Collector A Lakra and concerned clerical staff M R Yadav.
As per
details available, Chirmiri resident RTI activists Rajkumar Mishra had sought
details of land sale permission for year 2013-14, related 14 cases. The Public
Information Officer did not provide complete information. Mishra then placed
appeal before collector Koriya district.
Collector
then conducted probe in which it came to know that Holsai, assistant grade two
had intimated that court of additional collector Baikuntpur revenue case number 83/A-21/2013-14 the main
case has been deposited on June 30, 2016 at Revenue record room. Additional
collector A Lakra’s total 13 cases, the then reader has not given these case
files through the handing over charge process, nor do they have any information
regarding these were provided.
Clerk Gyan
Prasad Singh stated that total 13 cases have not been submitted with revenue
record room. Similarly, M R Yadav, assistant grade two the then reader said
that the then additional collector Baikuntpur for study and taking action had
sought the files and it was provided to him. The then Chief Executive Officer
Zila Panchayat Koriya had sought these files related to land purchase, which
was kept by additional collector A Lakra and did not return. He was then transferred
to Korba. But still the files were not returned nor handed over during the
handing over charge. A letter was written to him seeking his reply but he took
no action.
The FIR was
filed based on complaint lodged by clerifical staff Mohammed Sakir Hussain
Answari and sections 409, 477-34 of IPC and police is investigating the case.
