Guide held a walk for Right to Information Act that evoked a good response from
the public. The walk started from Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium to reach
Undavalli Panchayat Office through Bandaru Road and Prakasam Barrage. RTI
activists coming from across the state from various districts participated in
the rally with placards. The rally passed through MG Road, Sub-Collector's
Office, Police Control Room, Market to reach Prakasam Barrage and Undavalli
Panchayat Office.
Dr D.V. Rao
of Gareeb Guide, Supreme Court Lawyer, said that with the RTI Act, they can
block corrupt practices in society. He appealed to the public to participate
and cooperate in the fight against corruption. He req-uested the government
officials to cooperate with RTI activists and support the struggle against
corruption. Mr Sekhar, district sports director, S. Ramachandra Rao, All India
OBC Railway Employees Federation president, Garib Ride president G. Bhargavi
also particpated in the walk.
