Sasikala files RTI to know what facilities are given to Baba Ram Rahim so that she can also demand the same

Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been in jail for over a week now after being convicted for raping two of his disciples way back in 2002. Dera chairperson Vipassana Insan told India Today that the organisation will be managed by the Dera chief himself from jail. This has raised speculations about facilities given to Baba inside the jail. Sasikala who is also a prisoner in Bengaluru has filed a RTI to know about the facilities availed by Baba ji so that she can demand the same.

Sasikala Natarajan continues to serve her prison term in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara jail. 2 months back there were speculation that Sasikala used to bribe the jail officials to get a separate kitchen for her and other facilities. But with the government again ordering strict vigil, there is tight security around her. But Ram Rahim’s arrest has given a new lifeline to Sasikala, as she is sure that Ran Rahim has been given some VIP facilities by the Jail authorities in Haryana. Sasikala, yesterday filed a RTI to know details about all facilities availed by Babaji and will be getting the list by month end. Based on the list, she will demand amenities which will make her life simple inside the jail.

Faking News reporter caught up with ex AIADMK secretary and she had this to say,” Look, we live in a democracy. Prison or outside prison, people should be treated equally. If Babaji is getting VIP treatment, so should I, as I was the general secretary of a prominent political party and in future I may again hold a substantial position. Also, me filing RTI will encourage common people to understand the importance of RTI for their day to day benefits.”
