The PIO of
Finance Department V. Kezo has issued a clarification today on the allegation
of ACAUT that the Chief Minister TR Zeliang is withholding a reply to an RTI
application was ready to be ‘furnished’.
The Public
Information Officer of the department stated that the conversation with ACAUT
regarding the RTI application was in the month of July when the files were in
“transit” since the then Finance Advisor TR Zeliang had demitted office.
“It is to be
clarified that there is no intention on the part of the Department to withhold
facts that are on record. Reply to the RTI is ready and will be furnished to
the applicants,” the PIO further added.
