The State
Information Commission has imposed a penalty of Rs 25000 under section 20(1)
RTI Act, 2005 against Kalung Bida, Public Information Officer cum Divisional
Forest Officer Sagalee Forest Division of Tani Hapa for deliberately defying
the order of the Commission.
The penalty
was imposed in connection with the appeal made by appellant Taba Tani. The PIO
has been directed to deposit the amount in favour of the Registrar, Arunachal
Pradesh Information Commission through treasury challan.
