The Arunachal
Pradesh Information Commission (APIC) has under section 20(1) of the RTI Act,
2005 imposed penalty of Rs 25,000 against PWD Public Information Officer,
Rumgong Dukium Lona for his failure to furnish information as sought by
appellant Tadam Talom, pertaining to maintenance works executed under the
Rumgong, PWD Division.
The
Commission has also directed PWD PIO, Rumgong, Dukium Lona to appear in person
before the commission on August 28 next along with all the information
required.
It further
said that an arrest warrant will be issued against him in case he fails to
appear before the Commission on the aforementioned date.
