Accusing the
former Secretary of Hyderabad Karnataka Regional Development Board (HKRDB)
Aditya Amlan Biswas of misusing power with reports of alleged irregularities in
tendering process surfacing now, social activists and members of the Right to
Information (RTI) Act Association demanded that State government order a CID
probe against Mr. Biswas.
The activists
staged a protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s office here on Wednesday and
submitted a memorandum address to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Association
district president Siddramayya Hiremath alleged that Mr. Biswas was involved in
large-scale irregularities in the tendering process estimated at ₹ 500 crore
sanctioned through HKRDB. Mr. Hiremath said that Mr. Biswas did not follow
norms while opening bids and used his personal mailing address to invite tender
applications. He also demanded that all CCTV footages from his office, call
record details and mail addresses should be checked to help to prove the
allegations being made against him.
