PIOs, APIOs to undergo training on RTI Act.

PUDUCHERRY: Pondicherry University assistant professor (politics and international studies), N K Kumaresan Raja will enlighten the territorial officials on the Right to Information Act (RTI), 2005 during the two one-day training programmes on January 23 and 24 at the training hall, C Block in the chief secretariat.

Organized by the administrative reforms wing of the chief secretariat, public information officers (PIOs) and assistant public information officers (APIOs) in the secretariat, all government departments, offices, local bodies, cooperative institutions and public sector undertakings will attend the training programme in two batches.

Raja, who is an expert on the RTI Rules, served as a professor of LBS National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie before joining Pondicherry University.
