Complaint filed with Lok Ayukta against chancellor, four others.

The Free Press Journal: Indore: Saturday, September 03, 2016.
Former RGPV executive council member Ajay Chordia has lodged a complaint with Lok Ayukta police against chancellor Ram Naresh Yadav and four others alleging irregularities in appointment of vice chancellor (VC) at Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV).
“Using RTI Act, I had obtained copy of the note-sheet from Raj Bhawan for the appointment of vice chancellor at DAVV. I was surprised to receive two pro formas attached to the note-sheet copy. Though both carried names of same persons recommended for the posts, chancellor’s signature was missing from the place where Narendra Dhakad’s name was ticked,” Chordia told reporters.
In the first pro forma there is overwriting and in the second one, names are written in capital letters. “May be the panel members had prepared second pro forma after noticing overwriting in the first one.
They might have given the second pro forma in a sealed envelope to the chancellor’s office which, as per note-sheet, was opened on May 7. Then from where the first pro forma found place in note-sheet. From where did it come? In no situation, the panel members would have given both pro formas to the chancellor’s office in the sealed envelope,” Chordia said.
He also alleged that the handwriting on the pro formas does not appear to be of any of the VC search panel members.
“I believe that the panel members gave blank pro formas to the chancellor so that he could fill the names of his choice and appoint one of the persons as VC of DAVV,” Chordia alleged.
He said that if handwriting of search panel members would be matched with that on the pro formas, the truth would come out.
I have given an affidavit along with my compliant to Lok Ayukta police, Chordia said. Search panel members, including Chanakya Law University vice chancellor viz A Laxminath, UGC vice chairman H Devraj and Prakash Bakre, had met on April 7, 2016 at Raj Bhawan and reportedly recommended six names for the VC’s post.
On May 7, the chancellor appointed Dhakad as the VC of DAVV. Along with the chancellor, Laxminath, Devraj, Bakre and PS to chancellor Ajay Tirkey have been named in the complaint.
