The panel has also directed him to furnish the information within two weeks.In another case, Atri slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 on a panchayat secretary Ram Prasad, who allegedly blatantly denied information to applicant Sheo Narayan of Surpura Kalan village of Bhiwani district.
Haryana State Information Commission (HSIC) has slapped penalties on a tehsildar posted in Sonipat and a panchayat secretary posted in a village of Bhiwani district for delay in providing information to the RTI applicants and defying its orders.State information commissioner Hemant Atri imposed a fined Rs 10,000 on Sonipat's tehsildar Vikas Singh for delay in providing information to an RTI applicant Shiromani Dalbir Singh, who belongs to a village in the district.
