The
implementation of Right to Information Act (RTI) in Nagaland is completing 10
years of its existence this year.
In this
connection, the Nagaland Information Commission is preparing to celebrate its
10th Anniversary by organizing a State level programme on March 3 at the
Capital Convention Centre, Kohima.
The State
Chief Information Commissioner, Bukchem Phom in a meeting with IPR at his
Office chamber February 4 informed that the celebration will be a one day
programme which will include inaugural and plenary sessions on the theme, ‘RTI:
Trust Through Transparency’.
He also informed
that all the FAAs, PIOs and APIOs of various Departments and organisations of
the State will be participating in the celebration. He further informed that
all the concerned RTI related officials of Nagaland State to keep aware of the
celebration in advance so as to participate in the programme.
The meeting
was also attended by Secretary, NIC, Worhonthung Ezung besides the IPR
officials.
