Subhashan Reddy, Lokayukta, Institutions of Lokayukta for Andhra Pradesh and
Telangana, on Thursday said that the Right To Information (RTI) was recognised
as a fundamental human right and balance should be exercised while using the
right by activists in a proper to ensure public good. Justice Reddy, who was
the chief guest at a seminar on ‘Right to Information: A decade of
Implementation and Activism’, organised by Andhra Pradesh Information
Commission, said that Information Commission should be provided with adequate
financial support by the State government for effective implementation of the
RTI Act.
