Businessman accused of usurping Pune resident’s share.

A Pune based father and son duo has accused certain Sales Tax Department officials of operating in connivance with a businessman and a CA and helping them in swapping documents from the department.

Balbir Singh Hora of Pune said he, along with his son, had a stake of 67% in the company, while his business partner had only 33% share. As Hora and his son were away to Pune last year, his business partner had shown losses in business and taken over the entire business by eliminating Hora’s share.

However, on checking the Sales Tax Department record Hora was shocked to find that the company was not running into losses. He procured the copy from the department under the RTI Act.

Later, Hora found that his business partner had managed to swap the sales tax record. Hora then reported the matter to the police. Following investigation in October last year, ACP, Atam Nagar, Gagandeep recommended registration of case.

However, no case has been registered for nearly a year and the case file is gathering rust. Hora has now appealed to the CM to intervene and demanded a CBI or vigilance inquiry into the case.
