Bombay High
Court will hear today former Chief Information Commissioner Shailesh Gandhi 's
petition challenging the Chief Information Commission's order rejecting his
plea to disclose Income Tax returns and balance sheets of deputy CM Ajit Pawar.
Gandhi's
petition has challenging the CIC's May 15,2013 passed by a five member bench
which held that that Gandhi has failed to disclose larger public interest and
these details are personal information.
According to
his petition, his RTI application was rejected on January 2, 13 first by
Central Public Information Officer/ Assistant Commissioner of IT. Consequently
his appeals were rejected by the first appellate authority and then the CIC.
