RTI activist
Hirebegur Nandish on Wednesday alleged co-operation minister H S Mahadev Prasad
misleading the public by saying that Lok Ayuktha has not indicted him in a case
where minister has got allotted a site by suppressing the facts about he owning
a site in Mysore allotted by Muda.
At a press
meet here, he said Mahadev Prasad repeatedly claiming before the media and
people that Lok Ayuktha has absolved him of the charges and given a clean chit.
"But the fact is that Lok Ayuktha police in a 404 pages final
investigation report has categorically stated that charges against minister
under section 199 of the IPC has been established "he pointed out and said
questioning the minister on the case and report filed by Lok ayuktha police.
He said even
charges under section 199 of the IPC invite a punishment of seven years
imprisonment if the court holds him guilty in the case. "Minister in
addition to filing a false affidavit of not owning a site, he has got allotted
the site from KHB which was ment for low and middle income group people"
he pointed out and said he will fight the case in the law court.
Nandish also
alleged the minister trying to pressurize him to withdraw the case through
religious heads, police and other officials has increased after Lok ayuktha
filling the final investigation report. "I want to ask minister that if he
is not guilty of committing any crime why he is trying to influence me through
mutt heads and officials?" he asked and said he is determined to take the
case to a logical end.
"I never
disclosed that my house was destroyed by minister's henchmen, but the police
failed to book a case against Mahadev Prasad whom I cited as a
conspirator," he claimed, adding that he will not succumb to any pressure
tactics. "I am receiving even threats from minister's men, but I am not
scared of all these threats," he said.
Chamarajnagar
session court has fixed 10 October to hear the arguments from the lawyers in
the case.
