Builder's bail rejected 12th time

Times of India: Mumbai: Saturday, 19 July 2014.
The Bombay high court on Friday rejected the bail application of builder Suresh Bijlani in murder case of Navi Mumbai builder Sunil Lahoria. This is the 12th time in the last one year that Bijlani's bail has been rejected by various courts including Supreme Court.
Bijlani, the main accused, said that another accused S Bacchewar has been granted bail and hence he was also entitled. The court observed that as he was the prime accused in the case, his role cannot be compared with Bachewar. The crime branch also submitted some confidential documents before the court and said Bijlani's releases poses a threat to Lahoria's son Sandeep's life.
Last year on February 16, Sunil Lahoria was gunned down outside his office in Vashi in Navi Mumbai. Police investigations led to arrest of Bijlani and architect Anuragh Garg. The accused killed Lahoria after latter sought information under the Right to Information Act (RTI) of their illegal construction in Navi Mumbai.
