Times of India: Lucknow: Monday,
April 07, 2014.
The Prime
Minister's office (PMO) is not only unwilling to provide any information about
the Robert Vadra-DLF case, it also considers seeking any such information
illegal, misuse of law and the abuse of RTI Act.
The PMO has
denied information saying it's third party information provided in fiduciary
capacity, using various provisions of the RTI Act and the Indian Evidence Act.
Lucknow-based
RTI activist Nutan Thakur, on February 6 last year, had sought information
regarding her complaint and Writ Petition filed in Allahabad high court about
Vadra-DLF deal.
On the PMO
consistently denying the information, she sent her appeal to the Central
Information Commission (CIC) which, in turn, directed PMO to present its
written submission.
But, the 15
page letter dated April 3, 2014 and signed by S E Rizwi, deputy Secretary of
the PMO, has once again refused to provide the information.
