A city
Congress leader has filed application under the Right to Information (RTI) Act
with Vadodara urban development authority (VUDA).
Shailesh
Amin, Congress general secretary has filed the RTI application to know whether
VUDA chairman had followed any process before installing beacon on his official
car.
Amin has
sought to know whether the chairman had made any attempt to know whether which
official cars have permission to install beacons. He has also asked for a copy
of the letter wherein details were sought regarding the list of such officials.
The RTI also asks for details of the tender and process through which the
beacon and siren was purchased. Amin had recently made complaint to the police
commissioner regarding a red beacon installed on VUDA chairman's car. The
beacon was later removed.
