Congress leader files RTI with VUDA over red beacon incident

A city Congress leader has filed application under the Right to Information (RTI) Act with Vadodara urban development authority (VUDA).
Shailesh Amin, Congress general secretary has filed the RTI application to know whether VUDA chairman had followed any process before installing beacon on his official car.
Amin has sought to know whether the chairman had made any attempt to know whether which official cars have permission to install beacons. He has also asked for a copy of the letter wherein details were sought regarding the list of such officials. The RTI also asks for details of the tender and process through which the beacon and siren was purchased. Amin had recently made complaint to the police commissioner regarding a red beacon installed on VUDA chairman's car. The beacon was later removed.
