Delhi
government's hospital for children - Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital - is
turning into a horror zone with almost six children dying every day. An RTI
document has revealed that over 2000 out of the 24,000 kids admitted every year
die at the hospital.
This is due
to inadequate facilities and unhygienic conditions. Over four kids are allotted
the same bed due to a shortage of beds.
Nine out of
25 ventilators are non-functional at the hospital. Kalavati hospital is the
largest pediatric hospital in the capital.
