'I live in constant mental agony'

Former acting registrar along with journalism head, Gopa Bagchi, accused the VC of corruption;

My trouble started soon after I lodged a complaint against the Vice Chancellor for malpractice. I was sacked from the university where I have worked since 1996. Gopa  Bagchi, who filed a complaint before mine, was suspended and later debarred. We don't nurture any intention to malign the university or anyone. Being insiders we have the best information to reveal fraud. And our efforts through RTI substantiated our claims. But we now fear that due to delay in action against 'culprits' despite several complaints. We will soon face death threats.

The misdeeds by the VC, abuse of authority, corruption of ethics in higher education, irregularities in appointments, illegal procurements set a bad precedent.

I can sense a criminal conspiracy against me. I have never seen my family sacrificing so much as I live in mental agony. Sometimes I feel like committing suicide but faith in the Indian Judiciary gives me enough will power to continue the fight.
