Shiv Sena corporator, Sulbha Ubale, has alleged that the Pimpri Chinchwad New Township Development Authority (PCNTDA) president, Dilip Band, has illegally sold 20 plots in Chikhali-Pradhikaran to Delhi-based developers.
According to a media release issued on Wednesday, the corporator said she got the details through a Right to Information (RTI) Act (2005) query.
Ubale said PCNTDA published advertisement for sale of commercial plots in Chikhali in 2005-06. The authority sold 20 plots with an area of 15-20 guntha to three developers on first come, first served basis.
According to the PCNTDA norms, only citizens residing in Maharashtra can purchase these plots and those working in the Pimpri-Chinchwad industrial belt for many years.
She alleged that the developers submitted fake address proof of Chinchwad area to purchase the plots.
Demanding a CBI inquiry into the alleged scam, Ubale said she has written to the chief minister to look into the matter. Repeated attempts to contact Band were unsuccessful.
