RTI week celebrated in Dimapur

Kohima, Oct. 11: Nagaland’s Dimapur district observed Right to Information (RTI) Week 2010 at the Circuit House, along with the rest of the state and the country.
The event was organised by Dimapur District Administration for public information officers and assistant public information officers of various departments, public undertaking and NGOs.
While speaking as the chief guest, Dimapur deputy commissioner Maong Aier pointed out that RTI was a powerful tool, which enabled us to transform the way the government and its officials function, to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority and to control corruption.
