Rights body member seeks deputation info

Times of India: Patiala: Thursday, 4 July 2024.
Alleging deliberate oversight of the deputation orders, a member of the Human Rights Council India has requested information from the Punjab govt under the RTI Act regarding the action taken on his complaint filed with the PMO.
The complaint pertains to the deputation of staff nurses, a lab attendant and other medical faculty posted at the office of DRME Mohali, which is allegedly affecting patient care services and the education of medical students.
In his complaint filed in March with the PMO, Sukhchain Singh pointed out the violation of nursing patient care, ethical standards of education for MBBS, MD and MS courses and the abuse of govt powers by officials of DRME and at the Government Medical College and Hospital Patiala.
The complaint was also marked to the office of the Indian Nursing Council NBCC Centre and the secretary general of the National Medical Commission of India. Sukhchain said, "The public services suffer with the deputation of staff from medical colleges that have been already facing staff crunch.”
