Apprehending
major scams and misappropriation of expenses incurred on constructions,
favouritism in allotment of job works, duties of KAS officers posted in the
Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, rate lists of medicines sold by ‘Sanyog
Pharmacy’ and ‘Amrit’, in the past few years, Advocate Arun Gandotra of J&K
High Court has sought information under Right to Information Act 2005 regarding
construction works and names of contractors and their partners.
The
RTI application has sought information on total number of steel and fabricated
projects/wards along with costs during the tenure of Dr Sunanda Raina,
Principal. It also sought names of the firm/factory from where steel and
fabricated material used for main gate of GMC, joint and bones hospital and
cancer hospital Jammu.
The
application filed by Advocate Arun Gandotra also sought information regarding
the selection committee constituted to select the registrars/lecturers on
academic arrangements under SRO-24 in the year 2020, stay of non-gazzetted
staff working in the personnel section of Principal GMC Jammu, Administrative
Officer, Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and Chief Accounts Officers
(CAO). It also sought information about rate list of medicines charged by
‘Sanyog Pharmacy’ and ‘Amrit’ on which medicines were purchased in GMC and
associated hospitals. The RTI also sought details of duties /powers/work
profile in details, of three KAS officers in GMC and its associated hospitals.
The copy of the RTI has also been sent to PIO, Lieutenant Governor’s
secretariat, Raj Bhawan Jammu.
