The
Tribune: Karnal: Thursday, September 05, 2019.
The Information Commissioner has been appointed under RTI Act but till now, the court room has not been constructed for the functioning of these three courts.
A
VIP road at Karnal has erected concrete structures around trees which has
resulted in multiple problems. The already narrow road has been narrowed
further because of these multiple structures on both sides of the road. The
parking space has been further reduced. As per NGT regulations, it is illegal
to construct such structures around trees as these suffocate the stem. No
concern has been given to aesthetics as these structures are haphazard and
looks ugly. :Dr SC Singhal
Waterlogging
a big issue in residential area
Faridabad:
Residential Sector 8 here has a rain water drainage problem. Whenever there is
rain, most roads get submerged. For hours, residents have to wade through knee-deep
water for any work. While vehicles get stuck and damaged by rain water, the
residents have to face waterlogging for many days. The accumulated water
results in germination of mosquito larvae and damages roads also. :Ashok Tiwari
Streetlights
remain on in daytime
Panchkula:
Streetlights remain on till noon at Fatehpur village, Sector-20, Panchkula, on
a daily basis. It consumes a lot of non-renewable energy. The need for
streetlights is till 6 am, but these are on till 11 am. People have lodged many
complaints at the 66KV power house located within Sector-20, but the
authorities concerned (Municipal Corporation of Panchkula) have not looked into
the matter. :Aman Jain
Court
rooms yet to come up
Karnal:
After the formation of the BJP state government under the leadership of CM
Manohar Lal Khattar, Karnal got the status of a division. Later, HRERA
Appellate Tribunal was established here. The Information Commissioner has been
appointed under RTI Act but till now, the court room has not been constructed
for the functioning of these three courts. For this reason, the Divisional
Commissioner and Information Commissioner are currently using the Deputy
Commissioner’s court room in the Mini Secretariat. On the other hand, many
executive officers have been allocated separate court rooms in the Mini
Secretariat, but they never sit in these rooms. Most of these officers are busy
in the field. Therefore, the government should immediately construct court
rooms for HRERA Appellate Tribunal, Commissioner and Information Commissioner
and establish a permanent court headed by an HCS officer and an Appellate Court
headed by the IAS which will spend the day hearing and settling court cases. :Shakti Singh
Is
a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is
there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture
which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?
