Two police
officials Sukhmander Singh and Gurdeep Singh deployed at the Suvidha Kendra
here have been transferred for misbehaving with people.
Manjit Singh,
a resident of Bhokra, said he sought some documents under the RTI Act on August
31 from the Bathinda police and he had applied for the same at the Suvidha
Kendra.
He said
police officials Sukhmander Singh and Gurdeep Singh were not providing the
required documents to him and were dilly-dallying over it.
Manjit said
he needed the documents to present in the court during hearing of a case.
He said when
he demanded a copy of the documents concerned from Sukhmander Singh, Gurdeep
Singh deliberately refused to give it. Thereafter, he approached SP traffic
Gurmeet Singh and lodged a complainant against the police officials with him.
Taking the
complaint seriously, the SP instructed the police officials to provide the
information to Manjit immediately. Later, the SP transferred them for
misbehaving with people.
