Pradesh State Information Commission will be hearing cases only of women
appellants on March 8 to celebrate International Women’s Day.
To motivate
women to come forward and use RTI to solve issues, the day has been dedicated
to women appellants as the number of women using RTI in the state is very less
and this is the first time when a state information commission has taken a step
to motivate women in this way.
State
information commissioner Atmadeep said this would be a tribute to women and an
expression of respect towards them.
