State
information commissioner Hiralal Trivedi came to the city to participate in a
programme of Bar Association on Friday.
Addressing
the members of the association, Trivedi shared his thoughts on ‘Right to
Information’. He also apprised the members of various regulations in this
regard. On this occasion Trivedi said the Right to Information Act was brought
into force for a transparent administration and to curb corruption.
He also told
about various sections, public information officer, appeal authority and state
information commission. He explained the procedures to get information from
government offices. District judge BK Shrivastava, association president Yogesh
Vyas, judicial officers and advocates were present. Trivedi satisfied many
queries raised by lawyers regarding the RTI Act.
