Brijraj
Krishna, an RTI activist, has begun fearing for his life so much that he is
leaving nothing to chance, writing letters for security to everyone from PM to
Prez, home minister to chief minister, governor to DGP, SSP and SP. Why, he's
dashed one even to Ban Ki-Moon, just in case that helps.
Brijraj
Krishna, a city-based RTI activist, fears for his life and has requested
officials to provide him with security. Taking a leaf out of UP minister Azam
Khan's example who recently sent a letter to the UN security general drawing
his attention towards the 'intolerance' row in India, Krishna shot one letter
to Ban Ki-Moon too, asking the UN head to impress upon the central as well as
the state governments to provide him with a gunner.
"A
number of RTI applications I have sent to different departments for seeking
information are yet to be answered by these departments. With collusion of
Meerut Development Authority (MDA) officers, the land mafia has issued me many
life threats and I am being pressured to take back my RTI applications,"
Krishna said.
However, when
TOI contacted the concerned police station, Rakesh Kumar Yadav, station
officer, of Partapur police station, said, "We have not received any such
compliant in the last six months."
