Prisoner invites suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur for meeting in jail after getting address through RTI

Times of India: Lucknow: Saturday, April 09, 2016.
It may sound bizarre but a prisoner has invited suspended IPS officer Amitabh Thakur and his activist wife to jail after getting their postal address through the Right to Information (RTI). He wants to discuss problems faced by jail inmates with the couple.
Nutan claimed that Amitabh on Friday got a letter from Chandrabhan Pandey, presently in model jail Lucknow, in which he has invited Amitabh and Nutan to to meet him in jail. Pandey also said in his letter that he got Amitabh's postal address using RTI from the office of the director general of police, she said.
"Pandey has written that he undertook many activities in the interest of jail inmates because of which he has earned wrath of officers. He wants to discuss these issues with us," said Nutan. "We will meet him on Saturday and assist in the issues being raised by him," she added.
