With the help
of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) officials, it has been revealed
that 25 private and commercial entities of Tauru have been allegedly availing
24x7 power supply, which was allotted to five villages under the Rural Domestic
Substation (RDS) scheme.
Moreover,
these 25 commercial entities and farm houses which were enjoying roundthe-clock
power service, have not paid any of the existing estimated amount they have
used so far.
This has been
revealed through an RTI filed by a retired IAS officer and present director of
Haryana Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) SP Gupta. He along with BJP
MLA from Sohna and Tauru Tejpal Singh Tawar have also filed complaint with DG
Vigilance of HVPN and CM window on December 24, 2015 followed by couple of
reminders but no further investigation has taken place.
DHBVN had
installed 11 KV power substation under RDS scheme at the cost of `1.5 crore at
Bissar Akbarpur village under Tauru sub-division of Nuh district, to supply
electricity to five villages named Dadu, Gangani and Sarai apart from Bissar
and Akbarpur in 2009. The equipment of this substation were allegedly stolen
soon after installation and interestingly, a private player - Tarudhan
Silverline Holding - had installed independent feeder substations at a farm
house adjacent to these villages.
"These
private entities were availing round-the-clock power supply. Hence, more than
20,000 villagers were affected with this. They have been getting just getting
two, or less than two, hours power supply in five villages considering they
have legitimate right of getting at least 16 hours as per the norms of Haryana
government. It could be a scam worth multi crores of rupees," said SP
Gupta.
"These
private entities were availing round-the-clock power supply. Hence, more than

Gupta.
Tarudhan
Silverline Holding is located 14 kms away from the Tauru electricity substation
and it has placed electricity wires and poles to get power supply for
independent feeder unit having capacity of 11 KV to supply electricity to ITC
golf club and ITC Grand Bharat hotel. Officials of Tarudhan are claiming that
they were cheated by some officials of DHBVN.
