BJP showing dictatorial attitude, says Congress.

Times of India: Panaji: Sunday, April 16, 2017.
The Congress on Saturday accused the BJP of having a dictatorial attitude, both at the Centre and state level. The party made the comment after chief minister Manohar Parrikar said on Friday that there is no need for public discussions on certain issues.
While talking about the Kashmir issue, the chief minister was quoted as saying that certain decisions awaiting executions cannot be discussed with the media.
Congress spokesperson Girish Chodankar said the chief minister wants absolute power. "He had taken similar actions in the past when he dissolved the assembly without the knowledge of any of his cabinet ministers. His recent comments reveal his dictatorial attitude. We condemn his statement," Chodankar said.
Chodankar said Parrikar had failed in his role as a defence minister and should retire from active politics. "He left Goa in 2014 when he could not deliver on his promises and then returned as an unsuccessful defence minister. ThePM should now make him a governor," he said
The party also raked up the issue surrounding the proposed amendments in the RTI Act "It is with the same mentality that BJP is trying to destroy the RTI Act," Chodankar said, adding that the Congress will not allow any such amendment in the Act.
